HECM borrowers may choose to refinance their loans into a new HECM for a variety of reasons, including to get more money, improve an interest rate, or allow a former non-borrowing spouse, or a new spouse, to benefit from being a borrower.
Even with interest rates on the high side, refinance activity is still happening. In this webinar, we’ll discuss how HECM refinances work, what to focus on when you counsel a borrower who is refinancing, and how it’s the same as and different from your usual counseling. We’ll also look at how the HLCUT software works for refinance calculations.

After entering your payment details, you will have a chance to review them before final submission of payment. Once you submit payment, a receipt window will pop up. Be sure to print this if you need a receipt for your payment! You may register more than one counselor from your agency with one payment ($80 per attendee) by selecting the number of registrations you are purchasing, using the dropdown box to the left of the PayPal button below.
