HECM counseling can be full of numbers — interest rates, loan amounts, loan costs, payment options, creditline growth, amortization schedules, TALC rates and more. New counselors, especially, may feel a little unsure about how to explain these numbers and answer questions about them. Even experienced counselors may slide over things that they don’t fully understand, hoping the client won’t ask what they mean. This webinar is suitable for both new and experienced counselors who want to feel more confident going over loan estimates with their clients. We will review the critical basic terms and concepts and help you think about client-friendly ways to explain them. The new mandatory HECM calculation software (aka HLCUT) will also be demonstrated.
